The People’s Power Plan is a project of the People’s Power Union. It builds upon the work of organizers and experts across Georgia and the nation to bring accountability to Investor-Owned Utilities like Southern Company. The policies and vision contained in the plan have grown out of ongoing efforts across the Peach State by dedicated community leaders, organizers, and nonprofits like Georgia Conservation Voters, GA WAND, Sierra Club, the Southern Environmental Law Center, Science for Georgia, Partnership for Southern Equity, Southface, Georgia Interfaith Power and Light, Black Voters Matter, Sunrise Movement, Natural Resource Defence Council, Climate Power, Black Sustainability, and Georgians for Affordable Energy.
